Plans To Build A New Middle School In Stoney Creek In Carter County Have Come To A Halt. Director Of Carter County Schools Kevin Ward Has Suggested The 800-Thousand Dollars Designated For Drawing Plans For The New School Be Used Instead To Pay Down Previous School Debt And Improve The County’s Financial Position. Ward Feels This Is The Better Option Because It Will Allow The Property Tax Rate To Be Lowered While Allowing The School System To Build Up Its Reserves.
