Legislation that seeks to ban speeding cameras in Tennessee is headed to the governor for his consideration. The proposal originally sought to ban both speed and red-light cameras but was amended over the legislative process to just include speed cameras. Places like Bluff City, who are in a contract with the camera company, won’t have to get rid of them until the contract runs out. Republican Gov. Bill Haslam will review the proposal when it reaches his desk.
