The United States Attorney’S Office For The Eastern District Of Tennessee Collected Over 11.8 Million Dollars For Victims And Federal Coffers During Fiscal Year Ending Last Month. The Office Also Collected Nearly 1.1 Million In Cases Involving Civil And Criminal Forfeitures. The Millions Of Dollars Collected Are Put To Good Use. U.S. Attorney Russ Dedrick Said The Money Is Used To Pay Claims For Medical Costs, Lost Wages, Mental Health Counseling, Funeral Expenses And Other Expenses For Victims Of Violent Crimes. Forfeited Funds Are Made Available To Federal, State And Local Law Enforcement Agencies.
