But According To The Board Of Supervisors, Now Other Wind Energy Companies Are Hoping To Place Some On Morris Knob Near Tazewell And Burkes Garden. A Public Hearing Is Set For December 1st At Tazewell High School At Seven O’clock For The Proposed Ridgeline Protection Ordinance. The Plan By Dominion And Bp Calls For As Many As 60, 400 Foot Tall Windmills Along The Crest Of East River Mountain. The Two Companies Have Already Received Approval From The Wise County Board Of Supervisors For A Similar Development In Wise County That Would Involve Construction Of Nearly 60 Turbines That Would Produce 150 Megawatts Of Electricity.
