Today Will Be A Good Day For One Area School System. The Sullivan County School System Will Receive Over 135-Million Dollars In General Obligation Bonds. The Funds Are The First Phase Of School Facilities Plans For The County’s School System, Bristol, Tennessee City School, Kingsport City Schools, And Johnson City Schools. Sullivan County Accounts And Budgets Director Larry Bailey Said A 9-Cent Property Tax Hike Will Be Needed For The 2017-18 Fiscal Year To Cover The Bonds.
