The Washington County Tennessee School Board Has Passed A Balanced Budget But Not Without Issues. School Leaders Decided Not To Fill 24 Teacher And Instructional Assistant Positions Next Year. About Half Those Jobs Are From People Either Resigning Or Retiring. The Move Will Mean A 1.4 Million Dollar Savings For The School System. According To Officials, The Positions Don’t Need To Be Filled Because Enrollment Is Decreasing. The County Commission Will Consider The Budget Today.
