A Good Samaritan And A Kingsport School Resource Officer Were Able To Thwart A City Robbery. 26 Year Old John Ashworth Is Charged With Robbery, Aggravated Assault And Leaving The Scene Of A Crash. Police Said Ashworth Spotted A Woman Outside Zoomerz On Fort Henry Drive Counting A Significant Sum Of Cash In Plain Sight. He Allegedly Followed Her, Snatched Her Purse, Shoved Her Down And Took Off. He Struck Another Vehicle With His Car And Sped Away. He Was Located A Short Time Later And Arrested. He Will Appear In General Sessions Court Soon.
