A West Kingsport Retail Development Is Closer To Reality. The Kingsport Economic Development Board Has Approved A 200-Thousand Dollars Incentive For The Allandale Crossing. It’s A 14.5 Acre Piece Of Property That Once Housed The National Guard Armory On West Stone Drive. The Funds Will Be Used To Improve The Intersection Near That Location. This Will Hopefully Attract Quality Tenants To The Model City. Assistant City Manager Chris McCartt Said It Will Allow Growth To Occur, Not Only At This Site But Also Through Redevelopment. Current Plans Call For Restaurants, A Convenience Store, A Retail Building And A Coffee Store. Residential Condominiums Are Possible At The Side In The Future
