A Greene County Water Supplier Has Been Fined For Water Violations. The Tennessee Department Of Environment And Conservation Has Levied The Penalty Against The North Greene Utility District For Violating The Safe Water Drinking Act. According To Tdec, The A Violation Occurred When State Personnel Conducted A File Review On March 28th, 2014 When The District Failed To Collect Sufficient Coliform Bacteria Samples During That Month. A Civil Penalty Of 18-Hundred Dollars Was Assessed, But If The District Complies With Testing And Submits A Plan Of Action, It Will Not Have To Pay A Majority Of The Fine.
