According To Greene County Sheriff Pat Hankins, Dispatch Received A Call From Sorrells At The Whispering Road Residence. She Reportedly Said She Was Locked In Her Room, Was Bleeding, And A Man With A Gun Was Trying To Get Her. Cowgill And Sorrells Apparently Were In A Relationship And Lived Together At The Home. The Bodies Have Been Sent To The ETSU Forensic Center For An Autopsy.

An Arrest Warrant Has Been Issued For 36 Year Old Lorenzo Kamanda Charging Him With Aggravated Rape. Virginia State Police Have Released The Names Of Two Lee County Virginia Residents Killed In A Two Vehicle Crash In Duffield. They Are 47 Year Old Marvin Clark Sr. And 39 Year Old Regina Spivey, Both Of Pennington Gap. Police Said The Van, Driven By 47 Year Old Robert Taylor, Was Traveling Southbound When It Ran Off The Side Of The Road And Struck A Guardrail, Causing The Van To Cross Both Lanes, Go Into The Median, Then Into The Northbound Lanes, Striking Clark’s Pickup Truck Head-On. Taylor Received Non-Life Threatening Injuries. The Cause of The Crash Remains Under Investigation.
Tennessee’s General Fund Tax Collections Were $8.4 Million Above Projections In February, Bringing The State’s Surplus Revenues To $491 Million Through The First Seven Months Of The Budget Year.
