Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable Is Pushing Efforts To Get All County Employees A 5-Percent Payraise In The Upcoming Fiscal Year Budget. They Did Not Get An Increase Last Year Due To The Pandemic Causing Uncertainties. Ems Workers Have Already Received A 5-Percent Pay Hike Back In January. The Cost For The Remainder Of The Employees Would Be Just Under 2-Million Dollars. The Budget Committee Is Still Waiting On Year-To-Date Revenue Numbers Before Moving Forward On The Matter.
