According To A Press Release From The City, Officers Corporal Tim Horne And Gerald Ray Will Face Lengthly Suspensions Without Pay. The Officers Were Involved In A February 5th Incident That Began At Kings View Apartments On Larry Neil Way. Police Responded To An Apartment To Find Minors Drinking. Ray Gave The Beer To Sgt. Gary Keene. Knowing The Beer Had Been Given To Keene, Horne Alllegedly Approved A Report Stating It Has Been Destroyed. Keene Resigned From The Police Department. Chief Gale Osborne Recommended Termination For Both Officers. Instead, City Manager John Campbell Said The Officers Will Receive Six Weeks Of Unpaid Suspensions. Horne Will Additionally Be Demoted From Corporal To Patrolman.
