A BRISTOL VIRGINIA MAN CONVICTED IN THE BRUTAL BEATING DEATH OF A HOMELESS MAN NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO WILL BE SPENDING THE REST OF HIS LIFE BEHIND BARS. JUDGE LARRY KIRKSEY SENTENCED GARY HENSON TO TWO LIFE SENTENCES AND AN ADDITIONAL TEN YEARS IN PRISON FOR HIS PART IN THE KILLING OF JERRY LEE STOUT IN SEPTEMBER 2006. THE 47 YEAR OLD HENSON DIDN’T APPEAR TO BE BOTHERED BY THE JUDGE’S RULING. HENSON WAS ONE OF FOUR PEOPLE CHARGED IN STOUT’S DEATH WHICH OCCURRED IN A SECTION OF THE CITY FORMERLY KNOWN AS “THE JUNGLE”. ANGELA DILLARD AND TAMMY WILLIAMS HAVE ALREADY PLED GUILTY TO LESSER CHARGES WHILE RICHARD LEWIS WILL GO TO TRIAL IN MARCH. HE FACES CHARGES OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER, ROBBERY AND CONSPIRACY. HENSON’S ATTORNEY PLANS TO APPEAL THE CASE.
