VIRGINIA HIGHWAY OFFICIALS ARE WORKING TO CLEANUP THE SITE OF A TWO VEHICLE COLLISION LAST NIGHT THAT STILL HAS ONE OF THE SOUTHBOUND LANES OF INTERSTATE 81 NEAR EXIT 7 IN BRISTOL SHUTDOWN TO TRAFFIC THIS MORNING. A TANKER LOADED WITH POTENTIALLY-DANGEROUS SULFURIC ACID COLLIDED WITH A TRUCK CARRYING COSMETICS LAST NIGHT AROUND 6 O’CLOCK. EMERGENCY CREWS ARE CONTINUING TO OFFLOAD THE HAZARDOUS MATERIAL TODAY. NO EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN ORDERED SO FAR.
