THERE ARE NO APPARENT SIGNS OF FOUL PLAY AT THE SCENE OF A FIRE IN ABINGDON VIRGINIA OVER THE WEEKEND THAT CLAIMED ONE PERSON’S LIFE. FIRE CREWS RESPONDED TO THE HOME OF ARTHUR FIELDS ON TOOLE CREEK ROAD IN WASHINGTON COUNTY VIRGINIA SATURDAY MORNING. FAMILY MEMBERS SAID THE FIRE STARTED IN A CHIMNEY AND SPREAD THROUGH THE ENTIRE HOME. FIELDS’ WIFE, DAUGHER AND GRANDSON ESCAPED THE BLAZE WITHOUT INJURY. ARSON INVESTIGATORS ARE SIFTING THROUGH THE RUBBLE TO DETERMINE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
