An Investigation By The Tennessee Comptroller Into Allegations Of Malfeasance, Has Found More Than $20,000 In Questionable Payments To A Part-Time Employee Of Mooresburg Utility District In Hawkins County. The Questionable Payments Were Made Between October 2022 And August 2023. They Were For Independent Contractor Work The Part-Time Employee Had Reportedly Been Doing. Several Other Discrepancies Were Also Found During The Probe. The Findings Will Be Turned Over To The District Attorney’s Office To Determine If Criminal Charges Will Be Filed.
