The Russell County Virginia Sheriff’s Office Has Identified A Man Accused Of Assaulting Two Officers With A Weapon. Ernest Williams Is Charged With Assault And Battery On Law Enforcement, Assault And Battery On A Family Member, Malicious Injury To Law Enforcement And Abduction Of A Family Member. It Happened At The Huddle House In St. Paul. Williams Allegedly Struck A Deputy In The Head With Brass Knuckles. The Officer Was Taken By Medflight To Johnson City Med Center Where He’s In Stable Condition. Williams Is Being Held In The Duffield Jail Without Bond.
