The Tennessee Valley Authority Board Of Directors Gave A Pat On The Back To Employees Of The Federal Utility For Meeting Peak Power Demand During A Deep Freeze Last Month. President And CEO, Jeff Lyash, Said The Utility Had A Demand Of Over 34-Thousand Megawatts During The Single-Digit Temperatures, Which Is The Highest Ever Seen In The TVA Power Region. Last Year, The Utility Spent 123-Million Dollars Last Year At Its Various Plants. Roughly 3-Billion Dollars Is Set To Be Spent On Transmission System Improvements Through 2028.
