A Federal Judge In U.S. District Court In Greeneville Has Ruled A Lawsuit Filed Against The Johnson City Police Department And Some Of Its Officers Will Be Treated As A Class-Action Suit. In Addition, The Judge Also Approved A Request To Add Two Defendants From The Department To The Case. The Lawsuit Was Filed By Alleged Victims Of Accused Serial Rapist, Sean Williams, Against The Police Department, The City And The Former Police Chief. It Alleges Police Allowed Williams To Conduct A Sex Trafficking Operation And In Some Cases Benefited Financially From Doing So. The City Denies The Allegations. A Trial Is Expected To Get Underway In May.
