Sullivan County District Attorney General Barry Staubus Said If A Proposed Federal Budget Cut For The Upcoming Fiscal Year Goes Through, The County Could Possibly Lose Its Victim Witness Coordinator. The Proposed Spending Plan Would Cut 700-Million Dollars To The Victims Of Crime Act. This Could Affect 45 Positions Across The State Of Tennessee, Which Serve Over 10-Thousand Victims. Now, Tennessee District Attorneys Are Turning To State Legislators And Advocating They Approve State Funding For Those Positions.
