A Two Vehicle Crash In Wise County Over The Weekend Has Claimed The Life Of One Person. It Happened Sunday Night On Route 23. Virginia State Police Said A Lincoln MKC Was Heading Northbound When It Crossed The Center Line And Struck KIA Sorento Head-On. The Driver Of The Lincoln, 73 Year Old Marlene Gilliam Of Wise Suffered Serious Injuries And Later Died At An Area Hospital. The Driver Of The Sorento, 51 Year Old Amy Ruff Of Coeburn Also Suffered Serious Injuries And Was Taken To An Area Hospital. Her Condition Is Unknown. The Crash Remains Under Investigation.
