John McCain has taken control of the Republican race for the White House, with key victories in major states on Super Tuesday. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are both claiming momentum from yesterday’s votes. Both scored wins in delegate-rich states with Clinton, having a slight lead of Obama when it comes to delegates. In Tennessee, The favorite Republican candidate was Mike Huckabee along with Democratic contender Hillary Clinton. Locally the hot topic was the Wheel tax in Washington County Tennessee. 70 percent of voters said no to the 50 dollar tax which was earmarked for paying back bonds for school and justice center building projects.
