The Tennessee General Assembly Has Passed A 59.8 Billion Dollar Budget For The 2025-26 Fiscal Year. The Spending Plan Includes 597 Million Dollars For Disaster Relief Initiatives And 640 Million In New Funding For K-12 Education. State Representative Bud Hulsey Said: “Tennessee’s Fiscal Conservatism Has Served The State Well For Many Years, And He’s Proud To Be A Part Of Continuing This Legacy. Other Major Investments Include 378 Million Dollars For Public Safety Initiatives, 1.5 Billion For Health And Social Services, And 42.5 Million For Grants To Volunteer Fire Departments, Emergency Services, Senior Centers And Food Banks. The Budget Maintains Tennessee’s Status As A No-Income-Tax State.
