Kingsport City Schools Will Use One Million Dollars From Reserves To Balance Its Proposed 105 Million Dollar 2025-26 Fiscal Year Budget. The Spending Plan Includes A One Percent Cost-Of-Living Adjustment And Step Increases For Teachers And Support Staff. City Leaders Have Proposed A One Million Dollar Funding Increase, Which The School System Would Have Needed To Cover Two Million In Shortfall. The Plan Also Includes One-Time Bonuses For Employees Not Eligible For State-Funded Teacher Bonuses.
