A Greeneville Man Is Facing Multiple Serious Charges After Allegedly Assaulting A Female. 32-Year-Old Matthew Knauss Is Charged With Attempted Rape, Kidnapping And Aggravated Domestic Assault Following An Incident On Valleyview Road. Deputies Responded To A Simple Assault Call And Found The Suspect In The Doorway With The Victim On Stairs Holding Knives. The Woman Told Investigators Knauss Attacked Her After Bringing Her To His Home From Rockford. She Says He Refused To Leave And She Grabbed Knives To Protect Herself During The Struggle. Knauss Told Deputies He Didn’t Know The Victim’s Name. He Will Appear In Court At A Later Date.
