Greeneville’s Tusculum University Will Once Again Host Its Annual Upward Bound And Upward Bound Math And Science Summer Academy Beginning Tuesday, May 27. The Six-Week Program Gives Local High School Students—Most Of Whom Are First-Generation College Hopefuls—The Chance To Live And Learn On Campus. Participants Will Attend Classes On Topics Ranging From Biology To Pop Culture History, And Take Part In Creative And Scientific Projects Presented In A Public Showcase June 25. After A Week Of Virtual Sessions, Students Will Spend Four Weeks On Campus Before Ending With A Cultural Trip. Officials Say The Program Offers A Realistic Glimpse Into College Life, Aimed At Encouraging Higher Education Pathways.
