Greeneville Energy Customers Will See A Small Increase On Their Power Bills Starting In October. The GEA Board Approved A One-And-A-Half Percent Rate Increase During Its May Meeting. The Change Will Add About Two Dollars To The Average Monthly Bill. This Marks The Fifth Straight Year Of Small Rate Increases To Avoid Larger Hikes Down The Road. Unlike Last Year, TVA Will Not Raise Rates This Cycle. The TVA Board Currently Has Only Four Members And Cannot Take Action Without A Quorum. New Appointments Must Be Approved By Congress, Which Has No Action Scheduled.
