A Carter County Man Is Facing Child Pornography Charges After An Investigation By The Sheriff’s Office. Authorities Say They Discovered Numerous Images Of Child Sexual Abuse Material During Their Investigation Of 33-Year-Old Michael Barnett Of Elizabethton. Barnett Was Arrested In Florida Based On A Warrant Obtained By The Carter County Sheriff’s Office. Florida Authorities Also Charged Him With Being A Fugitive From Another State. He Remains In Florida Awaiting Extradition Back To Carter County To Face His Charges. The Sheriff’s Office Says The Investigation Began After They Received A Tip.
