For Kingsport Property Owners In Sullivan County The New Tax Rate Would Be $1.68 Per 100 Dollars Of Assessed Value, Up 33 Cents From The Current Rate Of $1.35. The Proposed Tax Hike Would Generate An Estimated 10 Million Dollars In New Annual Revenue. City Manager Chris McCartt Said The Funds Are Needed To Restore Lost Revenues, Fund Paving Projects, Maintain Competitive Employee Pay And Support Critical Infrastructure.
