The Washington County Tennessee Commission Is Expected To Take Up A Measure This Evening On Replacing Night Clerks With Judicial Commissioners Who Would Have Expanded Authority. Night Clerks Currently Handle Judicial Tasks During Evening And Weekend Hours At The Justice Center In Jonesborough. Circuit Court Clerk Brenda Downes Says The Current System Has Been In Place For Decades. Sessions Court Judges And The District Attorney General Have Agreed That Judicial Commissioners Are Necessary. The Meeting Takes Place This Evening At 6pm.
