Kingsport And Johnson City Transportation Programs For Seniors Have Been Discontinued Due To Funding Issues. The “Myride” Initiative In Both Cities Has Ended After Efforts To Secure Funding For The Next Fiscal Year Were Unsuccessful. The Programs Had Been Supported By A Now Expired 150-Thousand Dollar Community Health Improvement Grant From Ballad Health. Myride Provided Door-To-Door Transportation For Adults Aged 60 And Older. The Program Had A Total Of 84 Clients.
