A Traffic Stop In Washington County Led To The Discovery Of More Than 62 Grams Of Methamphetamine And The Arrest Of Two People. 38-Year-Old Travis Smith Of Elizabethton And 43-Year-Old Lindsey Shepard Of Johnson City Were Taken Into Custody On July 8. Deputies Say Smith Was Pulled Over For Speeding Near Taylor Bridge Road And Highway 81 South. Smith Told Officers There Was A Glass Pipe In The Console. During A Search, Deputies Found The Pipe, About 1 Gram Of Meth, And Other Paraphernalia. After Arriving At The Detention Center, Shepard Revealed She Was Carrying Additional Drugs. Officers Recovered Two Bags Of Meth Weighing 29.5 Grams Each And Another Bag With More Than 2 Grams. Both Are Held On $25,000 Bond.
