Sullivan County Commissioners Have Rejected A Proposed Property Tax Increase After Nearly Three Hours Of Discussion. The Commission Voted Unanimously To Keep The Property Tax Rate At$1.61 Per 100 Dollars Of Assessed Value Instead Of The Proposed Five Cent Increase. The Commission Also Passed A Budget For The 2025-26 Fiscal Year And Allocated More Than Four Million Dollars To Dozens Of Charitable And Non-Profit Organizations.
