Sheriff’s authorities in Rogersville say when they knocked on the door of a suspected meth lab, a woman came to the door with her two-year-old child. Hawkins County deputies say they caught Natasha Nichole Massengill in the middle of methamphetamine cook. They got a tip and say they could smell the chemicals outside the house over the weekend. Investigators say they found several empty blister packs of ephedrine products, homemade aluminum foil pipes and a number of small plastic bags. Deputies say they found meth cooking on the back porch. The toddler was put into state care and Massengill was charged with felony child abuse and a variety of drug-related crimes.
