A state official says 59 complaints have been filed over a public meeting last month in Greene County. Office of Open Records counsel Elisha Hodge said it’s the most complaints she’s ever gotten about a single meeting. The complaints stem from a July 18 meeting of the Green County Industrial Development Board at which the panel voted to apply for a permit to build a pipeline in support the U.S. Nitrogen plant. Several complaints focused on not being able to hear board discussions and the arrest of a resident who asked the board to speak up. She recommended the board to consult with its attorney regarding the complaints.
