The Bristol Virginia City Council Has Approved Its 2014-15 Fiscal Year Budget On First Reading. City Leaders Agreed To Go With Vice Mayor Archie Hubbard’s Plan Which Calls For A Series Of Real Property Tax Increases Over Each Of The Next Five Years. The Plan Will Increase The Tax Six Cents In 2015. The City’s Financial Woes Started With The Development Of The Falls At Exit 5 Of Interstate 81. However, The Tax Increase Will Reportedly Not Go For That Retail Center. Budget Changes Will Be Considered On Second Reading September 1st.
