Gate City Virginia High School Is Taking Extra Precautions To Protect Student-Athletes Against The Lasting Effects Of Concussions. Football Players Packed Into The Computer Lab This Week To Take An Impact Test. Students Were Asked To Complete A Variety Of Challenges To Test Their Ability To Recall Information. A Person With A Concussion Would Have A Hard Time Completing The Tests. The Results Are Saved And Compared To A Second Test Taken Shortly After An Athlete Gets Hit In The Head. The Football, Basketball And Volleyball Teams All Underwent The Impact Testing.
