Johnson City Leaders Have Began Working On A Potential Commercial Development Along West State Of Franklin Road. Commissioners Agreed To Accept A 350-Thousand Dollar Bid From North Carolina-Based Coalyard Restoration LLC For A Portion Of The Former Atmos Energy Property In Which The Company Plans A Development To Include Restaurants And Retail Space. The Project Would Also Come With Additional Storm Water Storage For The City At No Additional Expense. Coalyard Will Return To The City Council Within A Few Weeks With A With A Plan. City Leaders Are Expected To Discuss Rezoning That Property For Retail Business In The Near Future.
