The Sullivan County Commission Has Given A Thumbs Up To A New 800 Megahertz Digital Radio System. The Current Communication Equipment Was Purchased In 2000 And Is In Much Need Of Replacement. Officials Say The New System Will Enhance Coverage Because It Will Be Interlinked With The Tennessee Highway Patrol. It Will Include Over 12-Hundred Motorola Radios For Police, Fire And Emergency Personnel At A Cost Of 10.5 Million.
