The George L. Carter Railroad Museum at East Tennessee State University is offering its second annual series of holiday workshops about model railroading. The free events are being held on the first three Saturdays this month. Each demonstration will focus on a particular aspect of model railroading, from track laying and scenery construction to painting railroad models. All workshops are interactive, and some will feature hands-on experiences. Members of the Mountain Empire Model Railroaders club, who staff the museum, will present the demonstrations.
