The Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission Has Reported There Was In Fact Four People Injured This Past Summer When Three Girls Fell From The Gondola Of A Ferris Wheel At The Greene County Fair. The Girls, Ages Six To Ten Were Identified As Briley And Kayla Reynolds And An Unnamed 16 Year Old Friend. A Federal Report Said A 47 Year Old Woman Riding In An Adjacent Gondola With Her Granddaughter, Suffered A Sprained Left Shoulder. The Girls Gondola Struck The Car Next To It As It Pitched Forward. Early In The Investigation, Authorities Cited Mechanical Failure As The Reason For The Incident. The Report Noticed That All The Baskets Had Contact Wear On Their Bottom Skid Plates And Damaged Or Missing Rivets Were Also Noted. A Final Report Hasn’t Been Released.
