Tennessee’s First Lady Crissy Haslam, In Partnership With The Johnson City Police Department And The Junior League Of Johnson City, Has Announced Johnson City As The Eighth Location To Participate In The “Read20 Book Patrol.” It’s A Program In Conjunction With Tennessee Law Enforcement To Put More Books In The Hands Of Children. She Paid A Visit To Johnson City For A Kickoff Event Held At Memorial Park In Which 50 Participants From The Boys And Girls Club And Rise Up! Met With Johnson City Police Officers And Read A Book With The First Lady. Each Student Was Given A New Book To Take Home. Mrs. Haslam Committed 300 New Books For The Johnson City Police Department To Distribute To Children Throughout The Community.
