The Hawkins County Commission’s Ethics Committee Has Decided Not To Take Any Further Action Concerning An Ethics Complaint Against The County’s Solid Waste Director. A Complaint Was Filed Against Charlie Freeman By Commissioner Mark Linkous Who Alleged Freeman Exceeded His Authority And Misused County Resources When He Confronted Surgoinsville Police Chief James Hammonds About A Verbal Dispute That Occurred Between Hammonds, Who Was Off Duty At The Time And An Employee At The Burem Road Convenience Center. The Ethics Committee Decided No Action Was Warranted Because The Complaint Had No Merit.
