The Sullivan County Jail Is Suffering Not Only From Overcrowding, But Also From Several Infrastructure Issues And Security Risks. A Recent Study Conducted By A Jail Management Consultant For The University Of Tennessee’s County Technical Assistance Service Found The Insufficiencies. The Other Areas Found With Problems Include The Food Service And Laundry Areas, Mechanical, Electrical And Plumbing Systems, Water Line Problems And Limited Office Space. County Leaders Will Now Have To Go To The Drawing Board And Decide What If Any Action Will Be Taken.
