The Sullivan County Commission Will Discuss 140 Million Dollars In Funding Today Concerning New Schools In The County. School Officials Narrowed The School Site List Down To Two. The First Choice For The High School Is The Lynn Road Property And The Weaver/Harrington Property For The Middle School. Highway 126 Is The Second Choice For The High School And The Thomas Lane Property For The Middle School. Three High Schools, Sullivan North, South And Central Will Be Closed As Part Of The Plan. Students Will Either Go To Sullivan East Or The New High School. County Residents Can Expect A Nine Cent Increase In The Tax Rate In Order For The Funding To Be Approved.
