An Olympic Gold Medalist Has Helped Hawkins County Officials Cut The Ribbon On A Local Cross Country Course. Bob Schul, Who Won The 5-Thousand Meter In The 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Was The Keynote Speaker During A Luncheon Hosted By Cooper Standard Automotive As Part Of The Dedication For The New Course At Phipps Bend Industrial Park. The Course Was Designed By Volunteer High School Head Track Coach Jim Ailshie And School Board Middle School Track And Field Coaches From Across The Region.
