Kingsport Leaders Are Planning To Build A New Road To Help Alleviate Traffic At A Busy Intersection In The City. The Project Is Called The Indian Trail Drive Extension. The Plan Is To Connect Eastman Road At Reedy Creek Road To Stone Drive At Indian Trail Drive. The Intersection Reportedly Takes In About 50-Thousand Vehicles A Day. The Money To Pay For The Project Is Coming From The General Fund, As Well As A Bond Sale The City Did This Past Fall. Construction Is Set To Start This Summer And Will Be Completed In About 9 To 12 Months.
