The Rogersville Water Commission Has Decided To Stop Adding Fluoride To The City Water Supply. Studies Have Reportedly Shown That Putting The Additive Into Public Water Has Little Effect On The Oral Health Of Those Who Drink It. Currently, The Water Department Spends 40-Thousand Dollars A Year To Add Fluoride To The City Water Supply. It Also Corrodes The Plumbing Which Is The Reasons For Removing The Additive. Letters Will Be Sent Out To Customers Giving Them 30 Days Notice Of The Intent To Eliminate Fluoride From The Water.
