Wise County, Virginia Officials Are Monitoring A Mudslide That Was Reported In The Powell Valley Area. Wise County Emergency Management Coordinator Jessica Swinney Said They Were Alerted That A Mudslide Had Occurred In A Mountainous Area Of The County. She Said There Were Homes At The Bottom Of The Mountain And Residents Who Were Affected Were Made Aware Of The Situation. So Far, No Homes Are In Danger, But Swinney Said Officials Are Closely Watching For Any Changing Conditions.
