The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority Is Coming Under Fire From Four Southwest Virginia Legislators. State Senators Ben Chafin And Bill Carrico And Delegates Terry Kilgore And Todd Pillion Said With The Widespread Visibility Of The Lack Of Aggressive Economic Development Marketing And Lead Generation From The Authority, They Can No Longer Tolerate The Same Mindset. The Four Are Proposing To Replace Five Authority Board Members And Hire A New Marketing Director. The Authority Was Setup In 1988 As A Way Of Growing And Diversifying The Economy.
